Dana's Thai Spring Roll Dipping Sauce
This is a really sweet, yummy dipping sauce that's a little bit spicy. The sucanut makes it brown but you can use white sugar in it's place if you want it clear. Thai chilies are really tiny so if you use something else like a red jalapeno you would only need a piece of it. You can adjust it according to how spicy you like it.
Recipe:
½ C
water
1 C sucanut or sugar¼ C rice vinegar
2 Tbs fish sauce
2 Tbs garlic, minced
1-2 hot red Thai or other chili, chopped
Combine
all and bring to boil. Simmer until syrupy, about 20 min.
