Beef-Tip Gravy
I've had beef tip gravy at restaurants and always loved it. This is real comfort food and this recipe I created is delicious.
Recipe:
2-3 pd beef roast or steak
8 C water
2 Tbs beef bouillon
4 Tbs Dana's onion soup mix
¼ C soy sauce
1 Tbs Worcestershire
sauce
salt & pepper to
taste
8 oz fresh mushrooms,
sliced or chopped
¼-½ C corn starch
Place roast in crock pot with water and bouillon. Cook on low for approximately 8 hours or until very tender. Take roast out, trying not to let it fall apart, and cut off fat, refrigerate until cold and then cut in chunks. OR, if using steak, cut steak into bite size
pieces, place in stock pot and add water, cover and lightly boil for
a few hours until tender. After meat is done add everything else, except corn starch and cook for another hour or so. Mix cornstarch with some water and
whisk in gravy to thicken. Serve over basic mashed potatoes or pasta.
