Baked Beans

I'm not a huge fan of baked beans, but this recipe is the best one I've tasted.  My husband loves them.


Recipe: 

8 oz of a ground beef or pork, browned
1/2 lb bacon, chopped & partially cooked
1/2 lb polish sausage or hot dogs, chopped & partially cooked with bacon
1 medium onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 large garlic cloves, minced
1 jalapeno pepper, chopped or 1/2 Tbs hot sauce (optional)
1 lb dry beans cooked until almost tender, drained
2 tsp beef bouillon
1 C water
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 C sucanut or brown sugar
1/3 C ketchup
3 Tbs mustard
1/2 tsp smoke flavoring
1/2 C Dana's barbecue sauce
2 Tbs Worcestershire
1/2 C molasses
Salt to taste

Put all in covered 9 x 13 pan.  Bake 300°F for 2-3 hours. Remove cover, stir and add more seasoning if needed, and bake another 1-2 hours uncovered.
