Panko Bread Crumbs
The only difference in Panko bread crumbs versus regular bread crumbs is the size of the crumb. Panko is a more coarse crumb and they are super easy to make at home.
Recipe:
1 loaf bread (I use Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread)
Cube bread and put in blender on low to make coarse crumbs. Spread crumbs onto baking sheet and bake 300°F until they are dry but not toasted. Shake the sheet twice during baking. Try not to let them brown. Immediately remove from oven and allow them to cool. Store in freezer for several months. Makes 4-5 cups.
