Asian Cabbage Noodle Salad

We've enjoyed this salad for many years.  Everyone loves it!


Recipe:

1 small head cabbage
4-7 sliced green onions
2 pkg Ramen chicken dry noodles
½ C sunflower seeds
2 Tbs sesame seeds
3 Tbs butter, melted

Thinly slice cabbage and green onions. Mix together dry broken up noodles, seeds and butter. Put on baking sheet and bake at 350°F until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Add to cabbage.

Dressing:
½ cup oil
3 tablespoons rice vinegar or white wine vinegar
1 Ramen seasoning pkg
6 tablespoons sucanut or brown sugar
½ teaspoon sesame oil
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Stir and rest to dissolve sucanut, then stir vigorously to emulsify. Stir into salad just before serving.
