French Toast

French Toast is one of the fastest breakfasts you can make, besides cold cereal of course!


Recipe:

5-6 eggs
1/2 C milk
1/2 C cream
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 dashes black pepper
2 Tbs honey or sugar (if using honey, warm in microwave first)
9-10 slices of bread, any kind (stale is best)

Whisk everything together in a shallow bowl.  Dip each piece of bread in batter for 30 seconds.  Drain on rack for 1 minute.  Brown on hot buttered pan (medium heat or 350°F) on both sides.  Place in 375°F oven for 5 minutes.  Serve with butter, cinnamon and sugar, powdered sugar, syrup, jam, fruit or anything you want.
