Chicken Broccoli Casserole

About 23 years ago, I had to stay down for a couple of months in one of my pregnancies and an elderly lady from our church was asked to make dinner for us several nights a week during that time.  She used to cook for a hospital and this is one of her recipes with my adjustments.


Recipe:

2 lbs chicken, broiled and diced
2 lbs broccoli florets, steamed crisp-tender
1 recipe Dana's Condensed Mushroom Soup
1 recipe Dana's Condensed Chicken Soup
1/2 C Dana's Mayonnaise
1 C grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 tsp lemon juice
3/4 tsp curry powder
5 slices bread, cubed
¼ C butter, melted
Paprika

Put chicken in bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Layer the broccoli on top. Mix remaining ingredients, except bread, butter and paprika (add milk if it's too thick) and spread over top of broccoli. Melt butter and toss with bread cubes. Put on top. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake uncovered 350°F for 30 minutes, until bread cubes are browned.
