Dana's Sweet Chili Sauce
This is my Sweet Chili Sauce recipe. I made this up by looking at the ingredients of a brand that I used to buy. Very tasty!
Recipe:
¾ C sucanut or sugar (I use 1/4 C sucanut and 1/2 C sugar)
½ C pineapple juice or water
¼ C white vinegar
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 med cloves garlic, minced very fine
3-4 pickled Thai chili peppers (can use 1 fresh red jalapeno or Serrano pepper, mostly seeded)
1 Tbs cornstarch
Blend or finely chop garlic and peppers together. Mix everything together in sauce pan and bring to boil. Cool to thicken. Makes approximately 1 1/4 C.
