Cinnamon Rice Crispy Treats

These are a Christmas tradition we adopted from Chuck's family.  Only we've added a new, delicious twist--Cinnamon marshmallows!


Recipe:

1/4 C butter
12 oz (or 1/3 recipe) of  Homemade Marshmallows flavored with cinnamon oil
6 C crisp rice cereal
red cinnamon candies (optional)

Butter a 9 x 13 pan and the back of a spatula.  Measure out the marshmallows and cut them into small pieces.  Measure out the crisp rice cereal.  Melt butter over low heat in large pot.  Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.  Add crisp rice cereal, and red candies if using, and stir with large wooden spoon until well combined.  Pour into buttered pan and press down evenly with buttered side of spatula.  Let cool. Cut in squares.
