Hawaiian Macaroni Salad

I got this recipe from my daughter, Amber, who got it from a Hawaiian friend.  This is a very simple and basic macaroni salad.


Recipe:

2 lb macaroni
1/4 C Hawaiian or Kosher salt
1 large carrot, grated
2 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 green onion, chopped
1 jar mayonnaise or a double recipe of Dana's mayonnaise or more

Boil macaroni in a large pot of water with the salt until done.  Rinse in ice-water until cold and drain well.  Mix everything together.
