How to Cook Quinoa Perfectly
Quinoa is a seed that is very healthy. Most people think it's a grain, but it's not. If you don't cook it right it's gummy and gooey. This recipe turns out very light and fluffy. I think it tastes like corn on the cob, especially with butter and salt and pepper.

1 C quinoa

Water for soaking
1 1/4 C water or broth
Cover quinoa with water and soak for 15 minutes. Drain and thoroughly rinse in cold water in mesh strainer. Combine quinoa and water or broth. Heat over high heat until it's simmering, turn to low, cover and cook 30-35 minutes. Remove from the heat, keep covered, and let steam 5-10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
