Quick Shepherds Pie

This is a super easy recipe I made up when Chuck and I were first married.  It's been a family favorite for 30 years.

Recipe:

2 lb ground beef
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 Tbs onion powder
2 cans condensed tomato soup or you can make your own sauce
2 cans cut green beans
About 3 lbs Dana's basic mashed potatoes (you can use leftovers if you have them)
4 C grated mild cheddar cheese

Brown beef with garlic and onion powder. Drain and add soup and beans. Put in 9 x 13 pan. Cover with mashed potatoes and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake uncovered at 350°F until cheese is bubbly and slightly carmelized.
