Orange Fruit Salad

My mom made this salad while I grew up often for special events.  I've adjusted it of course, but it's a delicious fruit salad that's worth the extra time.

Recipe:

Sauce:
8 oz frozen orange juice concentrate
2 1/2 C water
1/2 C pineapple juice from can
1/2 C sugar
3 Tbs cornstarch
Pinch of salt
1 small package orange jello

Additions:
1 1/2 C whipping cream, whipped
Red and green grapes, halved (as many as desired)
2 apples, cubed or coarsely chopped
1 can pineapple tidbits
2-3 C miniature marshmallows
3 cans mandarin oranges
3 sliced firm bananas

Combine all the sauce ingredients but the jello and cook to thicken. Remove from heat and add the jello to dissolve. Cool and refrigerate overnight. Also drain the pineapple and oranges overnight.

Next day add the whipped cream to the sauce. Then add the grapes and pineapple and marshmallows. Fold in the oranges and bananas or serve the bananas on the side.
