Since my diet change, this is one of my favorite recipes!
Olive oil
1 large onion, minced
1 large onion, minced
1-2 large garlic cloves, minced or pressed
1 1/2 pounds lean ground turkey or beef or mix of both
1 1/2 cups ketchup more or less
Salt and pepper
1/4 cup yellow mustard
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar, honey or sucanut or sweetner of choice
1 can tomato paste
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
12 rolls or eat with chips
Serve with Dana's Coleslaw or the one below
Set a heavy-based pot over medium-high heat and add 3-count of olive oil. Add onions and saute for 2 to 3 minutes until translucent. Add ground meat and garlic, season well with salt and pepper and brown well all over, breaking it up well. Add the rest of the ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes.
